PSA membership, on Oct. 15, 2013, overwhelmingly voted to approve a new 3-year Memorandum of Understanding with the IID through Dec. 31, 2016. The MOU was ratified by the IID Board of Directors shortly thereafter.
As part of the agreement, members will receive:
- 1.5 percent off-schedule lump sum (received in October 2013)
- 2 percent cost of living salary increase, retroactive to Jan. 1, 2013 (received in October 2013)
- 1 percent salary, on-schedule, cost of living adjustment starting Jan. 1, 2014
- an additional 1 percent added to the current IID Vanguard retirement plan (retirement contribution to be 8 percent, up from 7 percent). NOTE: this is exclusive to the PSA bargaining unit
Due to PSA's insistence, and IID board support, unlike members of the rank and file unit, PSA members continue to earn 9 hours holiday pay for holidays that fall on 9-hour work days. (Rank and file members are compensated for only 8 hours on holidays).
